TJ Miller '98 Comedian and Actor

TJ Miller is not only one of the strongest new talents in comedy today, he's also a terrific actor. And why not, he studied at the British American  Drama Academy in Oxford England. Plus, he can stilt walk. He did not become this funny without a lot of practice on the lacrosse field and dealing with Coach Barocas.  Never a day went by without TJ contributing to the laughter which was really compensation for the cruelty imposed by the coaching staff. He learned to enjoy torture and practiced his sarcasm and wit to compensate for the pain he endured while a member of the  East lacrosse team. He is currently a member of Green Company of the Second City National Touring Companies. He is an improviser with the house team Bullet Lounge at IO, performs stand-up at many of the venues in Chicago, and he performs sketch comedy with the group Heavy Weight. He starred as Hud in the major motion picture Cloverfield and in ABC’s Carpoolers as “Marmaduke”. In the past year, TJ has shot Tony Scott's "Unstoppable" (Fox) opposite Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, "Gulliver's Travels" (Fox) opposite Jack Black and Jason Segel and "Get Him To The Greek" (Uni) for producer Judd Apatow, opposite Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. In March 2010, Dreamworks will release "She's Out Of My League" in which T.J. co-stars. He recently had a supporting role in Mike Judge's "Extract" and has been cast opposite Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis in ""Dinner For Schmucks". He is also attached to a project at Paramount entitled "Freshman Roommates" starring Tracy Morgan.
